Howdy! I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed that the word mindset has become a big buzz word over the last couple of years. I’ve been a Mindset Coach for almost a decade and I’m thrilled that the awareness of mindset is gaining traction. Before beginning this series of guest posts here on mindset and health, I want to assist you in deciphering exactly what mindset is to clear up any confusion that may be out there.

  1. “Mindfullness is the same thing as mindset”. Another buzz word that is often mistaken for mindset is “mindfulness”. Mindfulness is a state of becoming and being aware. “Aware of what?” you may ask. It is an awareness of anything and everything really, from being aware of your body sensations, your own thoughts, your current emotional state, your behaviors, and your environment among many other things. 2. “Mindset just means it’s all in your head”. When we speak about mindset, it’s not to say that circumstances are not real or having an impact. Some people REALLY have things going on. People have bones break, autoimmune responses, property get stolen, so on and so forth. When we look at a mindset, we look at how those circumstances are being perceived and responded to.
